Business Program Managers oversee non-technical project completion from initiation through delivery, ensuring that distinct projects are completed on time and within budget through coordination with cross-functional teams.

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Completion of the Microsoft Software and Systems Academy (MSSA) or expected completion by June 30th

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training in project and process management, financial accounting, business strategy, and/or operations
  • Demonstrated stakeholder and relationship management across senior leaders, partners, and customers
  • Ability to analyze business metrics, customer needs, and market trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, and presentation skills

Salary:

The typical base pay range for the Business Program Manager IC2 role in the U.S. is USD $64,800 – $115,600 per year. Different pay ranges apply to specific locations, such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, where the range is USD $86,400 – $129,600 per year.

Responsibilities as a Business Program Manager:

  • Conducts program landscape research and analysis to identify audience size, scope, and market trends
  • Improves the operations of existing programs by applying industry methodologies and resolving program issues
  • Contributes to the direction and strategy of leadership regarding business expertise areas
  • Defines vision, strategy, success criteria, and performance metrics for programs
  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to design programs from initiation to delivery
