Duties:

• Develop scaffolded, standards-based unit plans and lesson plans.
• Create rigorous lesson plans with specific, measurable objectives, differentiating for individual student needs.
• Design formative and summative assessments aligned with daily objectives.
• Utilize assessment data to adjust plans for improvement.

Instructional Delivery:

• Foster cooperative relationships with students and families based on trust and respect.
• Communicate high behavior expectations, reinforcing rules and consequences.
• Approach teaching with urgency, maximizing every minute.
• Proactively communicate with families about academic progress and behavior goals.

Continuous Learning:

• Collaborate with teams to promote critical thinking and academic rigor.
• Reflect on instructional practices and pursue professional development goals.
• Meet professional obligations efficiently and assume responsibility for student achievement.

Academic and Cultural Support:

• Coordinate college visits to enhance student learning.
• Assist with student and staff recruitment.
• Sponsor student clubs or extracurricular activities.
• Participate in daily school operations, including supervisory duties.

Requirements of the Elementary Teacher Job Role:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Georgia Teaching Certification.
• Ability to manage online learning platforms.
• Competency in using technological learning tools.
• Ability to motivate students to reach their potential.
• Experience in coaching or leading extracurricular activities.
